Death in Ahoma, Saint Andrew

The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) responded to a call early Thursday morning about a man who appeared dead behind a bridge in Ahoma, Saint Andrew.

Upon arrival and seeing the body, the Police called in the District Medical Officer, who declared him dead. The body was removed by Otway/Bailey Funeral Home.

An eyewitness said the body was discovered at about 10 minutes to six this morning.

He was identified as Herbert “Bigger” John, a 50-year old labourer from Ahoma.

The consumption of too much alcohol seems to be highly suspected as the cause of death. According to his mother, “Well maybe he drink and then lay down on the bridge to sleep and he topple over, because we see two empty bottles by there.”
