Five Premier League matches are to be played Saturday

The Grenada Football Association (GFA) resumes its Premier League Championship on Saturday with five matches down for decision at different venues.

Leading contenders for the championship title, Hurricane and Paradise are in action, playing away matches. The two clubs will be looking for maximum points from their respective encounters to enhance their title-chasing ambition.

Hurricane will travel to Fond Playing Field in neighbouring St Patrick for their 7 pm match against Hard Rock, while Paradise will play at Cuthbert Peters Park in Gouyave against St John’s sports. The game kicks off at 7:15 pm.

Other matches: home teams Chantimelle takes on F C Camerhogne at Fond in a fixture which begins at 5 pm. Lowly placed Sab Spartans and Mt Rich do battle at Victoria Park, St Andrew to secure vital points to avoid relegation from the premier league. The game starts at 7:15 pm.

At the Kirani James Athletics Stadium in Queen’s Park, home team Queen’s Park Rangers and Eagles Super Strikers face each other from 7:30 pm.

The GFA competitions were suspended last year because of the COVID 19 pandemic.
