Grenadian FIFA football referee Reon Radix gets his biggest opportunity in his 11-career! He is the first Grenadian to officiate at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Radix is a Tier 2 Referee in CONCACAF with experience of referring across the region. The former St. David outstanding long-distance runner is the lone FIFA Referee from Grenada appointed to officiate in the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament, July 10 -to-31.
The Gold Cup is the premier tournament for nations in the CONCACAF region. As part of the preparation process for the tournament, Radix was among 56 elite officials who participated in a 5-day candidate course which included technical sessions on the field and classroom sessions. Additionally, all officials were required to complete two fitness tests, the same test required for FIFA World Cup Referees and Assistant Referees, in which Mr. Radix successfully pass with distinction.
Grenada will play its first match of the Gold Cup on July 13 in Huston, Texas against Honduras
