Former Happy Hill Secondary School and Grenada Women’s National top striker Roneisha Frank could be moving to Texas to play football.
The 20-year-old is being recruited by the Sam Houston State soccer team. The Bearkats, head coach, Tom Brown, signed Frank from Navarro College to a national letter of intent. She is a decorated junior college player who has impressed her new head coach Tom Brown .
Frank, who is from Saint George’s, is an active member of the Women’s National Team and graduated from Happy Hill Secondary School.
Navarro went 30-7-2 in the two years Frank was a member of the team. She made 23 starts and scored 18 goals with 13 assists for 49 career points.
Last season, she was an NJCAA All-Region 14 selection after scoring 11 goals, including five game winners, and recording eight assists. She also scored two goals against Hill College at the NJCAA national championship tournament.
“We are very excited to sign Roneisha,” Brown said. “She is a proven goal scorer in one of the most competitive junior college regions in the US.
She has played with the Grenada Women’s National Team, and we feel these experiences will help continue to move our team forward.
