Princess Royal Hospital in Carriacou is now equipped with a brand new X-Ray outfit which is expected to enhance the service being offered there.
Speaking in Parliament Wednesday July 29, Hon Nickolas Steele pronounced with glee “The brand new X-Ray equipment is now on island [in Carriacou].” He added that this is the first time that all hospitals are outfitted with X-Ray units.
Meanwhile, the Government continues to speak of the importance of putting systems and structures in place to ensure that there is no outbreak of COVID-19 in Grenada and that the life of every citizen is protected, using all possible means.
But so far nothing is said about arrangements for Carriacou and Petite Martinique since as Princess Royal hospital is now undergoing reconstruction, its services have been relocated to the Nurses Hostel which was outfitted and set aside as an Emergency Wing for the COVID-19 p a n d e m i c .
According to a report from the Government Information Service (GIS) the relocation is to facilitate implementation of the Smart Hospital Project to improve patient satisfaction.
While the work began on July 15 no date was announced for the recommencement of operations in the hospital which serves both Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
